Don't stress out!
Whether you are at
secondary or tertiary level,
exam time is looming. While
many of us see this as time
for coffee runs, endless Tim
Tams and late nights, it
need not be a time of
stress.
Keeping alert and looking
after your self while
studying is one of the most
important things during your
revision period. As soon as
you feel you are losing
concentration, have a short
break and then return to
your set tasks.
Breaking up various
topics through the day so
you don't get bored is
another way to ensure you
stay alert.
As much as you want to
work through the night
getting at least six hours
sleep is a must to give
yourself a decent break!
Starting a study group
with friends can help
enthusiasm levels and offer
input and, before you start
anything, write yourself up
a timetable to carry you
through the day without
having to plan as you go.
Seeing your goal mapped out
makes it easier to focus on
the end result!
On the day of the exam,
ensuring all your materials
are ready beforehand and any
study notes you need are
ready to go, makes it easier
to focus on the task at
hand. Also, don't forget the
alarm clock. Set it and
check it a few times. Just
to make sure! |
